Thanks!

I lack experience with Madeira and have only limited experience with Port. However, I'm drawn to Tawny Ports (aged longer than Ruby Ports) and have grown fond of Cockburn 10-year Tawny Port. Fonseco, Graham, Warre, Taylor-Fladgate are a few other reputable firms. Australia has some bargain fortified wines--Hardy's Whiskers Blake I think is one that has a following.
Bucko has more experience with Port and may reply if he is monitoring the board.

Ditto on the Hardy's Whiskers Blake Tawny. It is waaaaaaaaaaay under $75. Glenmorangie, 12 Years Old, Madeira Wood Finish, Single Highland will get closer (around $50).

Well, you got a lot of Port recs so I'll talk Madeira.

Look for Blandys 25 Year Old if you can get it: Malmsey.

Thanks for the suggestions. $75 is just my upper limit...I'll go as low as $3.00 if it means a great wine
