I am a novice in wine tasting. I would like to know, in your opnion, from all the wines, white, red, sweet, dry, which one has impressed you more in taste. What is the best wine in your opinion.

Hi Psignore, and welcome to the Wine Board. The best wine is the one you have in front of you.

Wine's primary function is to precede, have with, and follow food. Sure there are times when you enjoy a wine all by its lonesome (quaffing), but a lot of that can get you in trouble. Therefore the constitution of the meal is usually the primary determinant of what is the "best" wine.

Hi psignore and welcome. Wine is such a subjective and personal luxury that if you get 500 answers to your question, you'll have 507 different opinions. Almost everyone has their personal preference to the catagory of wine they prefer, but it seems that just as you've found nirvanna....BAM!! the next bottle shatters all of the standards. The only way is to get definitave is to drink as many bottles as you can afford, mentally file each and every, and make your own decision.( It'll be different than mine ) WW

Who's the prettiest girl? Is Bob Marley better than Muddy Waters and how does that relate to Bill Evans? What is the most beautiful painting? Is Brasil the best soccer team in the world? Why....Yes!

Some questions can never be answered (but others can), Roberto

It is not important to find the "best" wine; it is better to spend the rest of your life looking for it--the ride will be far more rewarding than if you think you found it and then stuck only with that one wine forever.

And as ww put it--my best will be your worst, and the other way around.
