Help needed for merlot friend

Hello to all. I have a friend who is going to deliver a baby soon and has requested "blackberry merlot". Not being a wine drinker, I have not a clue. Please help. Thanks to you all in advance.

welcome boyz! The only wine I know of by that name is Wild Vines Blackberry Merlot, by Gallo (in California). This is actually a wine product, being mixed with carbonated water, fructose, and natural flavors, as well as a couple of preservatives. It is pretty low in alcohol by volume, 6%. You should be able to find it at most large liquor stores. Products such as this have become popular in the last several years, as people who don't generally drink wine want to try something different. : )
