I was at a restaurant in Pensacola, FL last week and was served a wine called S2. I thought I heard the waiter say it was from California (Autralia, maybe)...but it was noisy and I wasn't sure...I forgot to inquire further about it before we left but it was very good and I'd like to try to find some here in Columbus. OH...

Hi Rosile, and welcome to the Wine Board. Might it have come from Colorado? This is what I found: http://www.coloradosprings.com/entertainment/fullStory.jsp?id=2291

If it was a big, bold red, your wine would be the Australian Marquis-Phillips S2 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is one of their higher end offerings, ($30 to $45 range).

Hi Rosilejr and welcome to the board. I'll side with Drewski. The S2 from M-P is a really concentrated wine and one that can be found on most wine lists. WW

Yes, it is from Down Under and it's a wonderful wine! Very hard to find and it ain't cheap! Worth every sip though.
