Recently while visiting in Calif. we were served with dinner a very nice Chard. It was "Topian Carneros Estate Chardonnay". Haven't been able to find it in Washington. Should it be available here???

Sadly I have run into this a few times while visiting vineyards. A lot of the time they do not ship their local wine outside of the local area. You can contact the specific vineyard and ask if there is a way to ship it to you. The problem there is a number of states don’t allow you to do this, but it’s worth a try.

It shouldn't be a problem to get the winery to ship it. I believe Washington is a reciprical state.

Thanks for the info. I found out that the purchase souce was Trader Joes'. That may explain why it is hard to find here. Trader Joes' in the Washington doesn't handle it, apparently a problem in importing to WA. Not sure I understand the reason, but what I'm told. Thanks for the help.

I recently got the 1999 Topian Carneros Pinot Noir from Trader Joe's. It was a well made Pinot, if not world class, and was delightful with a crab bisque. How do they sell this stuff for $5.99?
