My three favorite sources for wine via the internet are:

What used to be known as Virtual Vineyard and is now known as Wine.Com. Started by Peter Granoff. www.wine.com

Geerlings & Wade can be found at www.geerwade.com.

Pop's Wines & Spirits at www.popswine.com

PS: I'd love to include www.wines.com but they can't ship to me since I live in a non-reciprocal state - Virginia.

My favorite source is K&L Wines at http://www.klwines.com.

By the way, I refuse to do business with Geerlings & Wade because they have publicly supported bills that restrict interstate shipping. I've even gotten into an argument over the phone with the CEO of that company regarding the issue, and he's definitely on the wholesaler's side.

Forgive me for this shameless plug, but my partner and I will soon have a wine merchant business up and running in Manhattan, as in NYC, (in the old school of merchantry, not just a store stocked with wines all over dirty shelves). We will also be online under the name www.is-wine.com.

I'll let you know when it takes off, and then you shall have another favorite....

Anna - thanks for the information on Geerlings and Wade. I've made note your comments.

I'd love to use K&L, but they won't ship to me either...........

Foodie - my brother lives in North Jersey about 1/2 hour outside of Manhattan on a very, very good day. I'll be looking for your website.

Dutton, if it takes a half hour to get from one block to the next in Manhattan you have got there on a very, very good day-unless you walk it....

Don't expect to be in business for a couple more motnhs--licensing and all that stuff.
