Anyway from the wisconsin area have suggestions for a good wine store? Hopefully in the milwaukee area.

We used to hear from a wine lover who lived in Milwaukee I think. I don't know if he is still active on the board. I was going to suggest a shop (no firsthand experience there but I met the owner's son and received a business card from him) in DePere, WI but learned that it is just south of Green Bay. Not exactly convenient to Milwaukee. My sister and her husband once lived in Wauwatosa (sp?) and then Manitowoc but too many years ago to be helpful.
If you get to DePere, try Valley Liquor for "fine wines and spirits."

I have not been back "home" in Wisconsin for a few years, but I had Ray's Liquors on North Ave. and 88th in Milwaukee recommended to me as a place to find a Spanish wine for which I had been searching. If they had that one, they probably have a thoughtful selection in general. Probably worth a shot. Perhaps others will have additional shops to recommend.

thanks for the help and i will take a look at the north ave shop. The northern wine shop may have to wait though as i dont get up that way too often.
