... A Sterling wine ( from Calistoga) is a very sweet wine. It is a special sterling collection that I bought while visiting the vineyards. It's a 2000 and was wondering when I could best enkoy it, should I let it rest for a few years?

Hi agin' there Paolo. My experience with white wines has made me open them and enjoy them in their youth. With the exception of a few Chardonnay-based wines and sauternes, whites don't gain mush from ageing. WW

Absolutely... don't hold on to white wines, especially 99.9% of any from California. Drink them while they're young, fresh, and at their best!
