On our quest for Chardonel (see below; don't ask, we won't tell), which we found at Mount Pleasant Winery of Augusta, MO; we went ahead an ordered some of their other wines to fill out the case. Tonight we tried their Augusta Village, Augusta Light Wine. It is a blend (not mixture) of various heartland grown reds. Went quite well with burgers tonight. Would not exactly call it light. It was more full than a Cru Beaujolais; sort of in between those and Italian Dolcetto/Barbara. Would definitely recommend giving it a shot. They ship; www.mt-pleasantwines.com .

IK, As a graduate of the U of Mo. and having married a girl from Festus Junction, and lived in K.C. I`ve racked my brain and can`t place Augusta. Must be in the far N-E corner. I`ll find a map and look. Winoweenie

My Gracious! Must be next door to Festus and CrystalCity. Course back then I only drank Coke and 180 proof. Winoweenie
