Tasted 4 wines from Amity Vineyards. All weighing in at around 10 bucks.

Riesling - DRY!!! this sucker has great fruit with a very solid acidic backbone. Lovely oregon Riesling.

Gewurtraminer - fruity, dry with medium acid. It was pleasant but lacked the typical gewurtraminer character.

Gamay Noir - They were one of the first to graft the gamay noir in Oregon (the grafts were gifts to OSU from France). Very good. Light, fruity, with a tiny bit of spice on the finish, just enough to balance the fruit. This is very much like a good beaujolais.

'97 Willamete Valley Pinot Noir - while I have had few if any Oregon Pinots from 97 that were good, this one was. Balanced, good pinot character with a good bit of weight on the finish.

The Amity rep explained Amity's philosophy on oak...they buy barrels that are are 3 to 5 years old, no new oak!

All of these are great QPR wines.
