Who bought out the Taylor Vinyards in NY and are they still producing? Looking for sauternes, lake country reds and golds and the like.

Taylor was taken over by Canandaigua Wine Company. I am not sure which of the labels they still produce. Go to nywine.com.

I believe the Cold Duck we all remember was named Andre--a Canadian product, if memory serves.

Take heart: the Canandians have come a long way since.

Yes Andre does come to mind, but I thought there was also a Taylor New York State Wine version also............

However, my memory has been so contaminated with tannin that it may not be clear.
