I love gamay (among other grapes), and am wondering about Bugey. I know it's near Switzerland, but how about the wines? Slurpable? As good as Morgons? I know it's subjective, but am wondering just the same.

Hi Zaphod, and welcome to the Wine Board. You are right about "among othe grapes." These include Poulsard, Mondeuse, and Pinot Noir. Don't know if any of these have any distribution in the U.S. or anywhere outside the region. Have never seen them on the shelf. Of course, that doesn't mean anything.

Thanks!
I have ordered a Mondeuse and another Bugey from K&L in California.
