2007 Chateau D'Esclan Angel's Whisper

Rather nice and elegant nose of rose petals and strawberries, but very light. On palate, great crisp mouthfeel, very light in body, very elegant but lacking in some of the complexity that I was hoping for. Perhaps I was expecting too much but nonetheless a nicely put together Rose.

On the first one, I was left a bit wondering what all the fuss was about. The second bottle showed much better (picked it out of the same bin). Lots more minerality, lots more complexity. Still a nice, clean elegant rose but I liked this bottle much much better.
