Lots of hypocrisy out there -- look at Reverand Jesse...... Money talks and there are a lot of double standards out there -- look at the Governor of MD. He had a bet with Oakland for a case of wine over the playoffs. It is illegal to ship to MD, but he has his lawyers "arranging it."

You're right about the double standards. Money talks, and it seems to all be about the quality of a person's legal team. But I do think it's funny as hell that Clinton's plea agreement comes right on the heals of the story about his "spiritual advisor's" screwing around. What a culture we've become, that such behavior can generate a 65% approval rating among the public!
The Bushes are going to need whole train-loads of Clorox and Lysol to disinfect D.C.!

Raised the colors, gave thanks, and pulled a cork (Primitivo). It's done, thank heaven.

Apparently about energy as well, as evidenced by the power crisis going on with our left coast.

I still have not figured out why one of the key issues in the California Electrical Power de-regulation "experiment" was the selling of all the generation plants by the power companies............

Huh??????

Can someone please explain this to me.

I am going to sit down Monday and write to the Governor and every State Delegate and Senator I can. I am going to beg them not to allow Virginia to de-regulate the electrical power generation and distribution. After I am done begging I will flat tell them they'll never again get my vote if they do support de-regulation.

I think enough is enough. My phone bill is bad enough. You know, the one that was supposed to go down, but never did.
