Bay Area Backroads did a segment on the history of the Livermore Valley Wine Country.
It appeared on TV Saturday March 25. However they have the same segment in a realaudio video.

Livermore Valley! The only wine I`ve had from there that was remotely drinkable was Concannons` 74 Cab and it faded into the sunset in a flash. Post when they do Mendocino , Sonoma or Lake backroads and I`ll dial that sucker up.Winoweenie

I would recommend people who have not tried wines RECENTLY from Livermore Valley to do so. Many GOLD medals and double Golds from prestigious competitions have been awarded to these wineries several times over. Try some of Thomas Coynes Merlots or Rhones only available outside of the tasting room in fine restaurants. Maybe Jerry has some comments for us.
