Here's a neat time/date happenstance...

This Wednesday, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning the time and date will be

01:02:03 04/05/06.

This won't happen again for a 1000 years.

It's the end of the world I tell you, the end of the world. Time to beam up to the comet....

It beats waiting for the odometer to line up at 55,555 miles (mine has about 51,000 now.)

If you like that sort of thing, here's another one that's interesting. I'm sure a greater mind than mine could figure out why it works!

1. Grab a calculator. ( you won't be able to do this one in your head)
>
> 2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area
> code)
> 3. Multiply by 80
> 4. Add 1
> 5. Multiply by 250
> 6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
> 7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
> 8. Subtract 250
> 9. Divide number by 2

> Do you recognize the answer?

It's obvious,...no? Rather simple this one...The initial 80*250 and divide by the 2 at the end is equal to 10,000 which pushes your first three digits our into the million, 100K and 10K position. The +1 was just to fake you out as it is multipled by 250 which is what you remove at the end. The doubling of your last four digits was required as you divided by two at the end....err...was I not suppose to post this? Grade 2 math!
