You said it! I just renewed my lease for another ten months but simply MUST start throwing out/giving away clothes and stuff before that new deadline. I need to find a ground floor abode or a condo with elevator but wasn't quite ready to move this summer.

Sorry if I missed it...but where are you going? Staying in Maine or heading south like the geese?!

Wondersofwine,

Suze Orman, the financial guru, says that when you relieve your house of clutter (clothes, books, stuff you don't use) you will achieve wealth because money has somewhere to go.

Does it work? Damned if I know. I live in clutter! LOL!

Start getting rid of all stuff (donate it) that you haven't touched in the past 6 months and maybe you will get more for your abode if you are about to sell.

Just relaying the message. Don't know if it works. Maybe I should start dumping stuff to test the theory!

You let me know and I'll let you know! hehe!

Just grin and bear it, IK. Will all be over soon, and you can relax and enjoy.

Well we closed on the house yesterday at 10 AM, and drove down to our daughter's in Northwood, NH; where will be staying for a while. Have the same email address until further notice. Still have to go back to Searsport on Monday to pick up our last load of unmovable stuff. Our realtor and friend there let us stay at her oceanfront digs our last two nights there. It was perfect for unwinding after three days of packing and moving.
