and the highlight of the trip was being served a dish of lightly scrambled eggs covered with mayber $90 worth of white truffles in a nice joint in Emilia-Romagna and being told "this is the typical food of poor people here because everyone has chickens and a dog to find the truffles..."

Sounds great, and welcome back Roberto. If you can find the time, you might go to Talk With Your Monitors and give Steve some advice. Some of us are trying to convince him to put some beer into his planning for a wine store.

I agree on the truffles. Last time we were there, the mound of truffles on my meal looked entirely too indulgent, I mean how much can they put on....then again.....
