I took the last of 72 weekly Hepatitis C therapy shots this past Saturday! I can't tell you how great it is to be finished. I've not had a drop of alcohol since October, 2005. I'm still waiting for the green light to have a glass of wine, but more than that, I'm just looking forward to feeling good again. It's been a long haul.

It is indeed a long haul for patients, but it beats the alternative. I certainly hope your count allows you to indulge in wine again. I know I speak for everyone in wishing you the best.

Fanfare indeed! Congratulations.

Sort of like when my youngest nephew (only four then and now in his thirties) had to do a series of rabies shots (very painful in those days) because a cat bit him on Mother's Day and the three brothers couldn't agree for certain on what cat had attacked him so they did the shots as a preventive measure. He celebrated with ice cream and cake when the final shot was over.

Congrats on finishing the shot, no mean feat. A glass of OZ tawny port will be hoisted in your honor this evening.

I haven't gotten the green light for alcohol yet, but soon, I hope. I also finished the last of 3024 pills I had to take, and I feel simply MARVELOUS! I keep waiting for that usual "yuk" feeling to wash over me and it's just not happening! Glory Hallelujah!
