Today, June 30, 2004, is my last official work day at is-wine.

Tomorrow, July 1, 2004, I will think about what I want to be when I grow up!

One day, in the near future perhaps, I will grow up...

Is the store closing, or did you just sell out? You did a great job there Thomas, and we hope you enjoy life back in Hannondsport.

Bon voyage, Foodster. I've retired twice already.... it's so much fun, may do it again. Highly recommend it.

Maybe you can make a living propogating fig trees.

All the best to you Foodie. Should we be expecting some brilliant wine writing or a new cookbook from your pen? Keep us informed. You'll have all the more free time for the offline in Washington next summer.

Nothing but good wishes from me, too, as you turn a page.

Thanks everyone. Two devastating funerals in the past two months helped pushed me over the precipice on which I sat for a while. It just ain't worth killing yourself when the event is already pre-ordained anyway.

IK, the store is to remain. I am still a shareholder in the company but no longer an operating officer and manager, and will have nothing to do with selecting the wines. In December I plan to review my shareholder status, should there still be an is-wine to review. Until then, I might stay involved in special seminar programs, so long as I get paid for it.

Hotsie--retiring is fun and I wish I could do it 100%, but not yet.

KC, if I could grow figs for money I would. You should see the crop on that tree on the deck! The ones in the ground, however, are the tough ones.

Yep, WOW, I plan to write, to paint, to play piano, and to seek suitable projects in the wine business. Recently got one of my weekly newspaper columns back, but on that pay I could be hungry and broke within hours...
