Ho hum... was severely clear here for most of the day with a high in the low 70's. We all have our trials.

It's not really a drenching..... there was 0.6 in the gauge when I went out for the papers at 5:30 this morning, and we've had a bit more since. Just a nice steady little shower. The wild flowers will love it - they're due to show themselves in a couple of weeks.

KC,

Its been lousy here too. One day clear skies and 65, the next day 45 and rainy (endless). One day snow and 25 degrees, the next day its 80 and hot... I have come to believe that weathermen know nothing and are average at taking an educated guess....

Our lovely desert is ablaze in color. With the amount of rain we've had you'll see every color in the rainbow at every turn. WW

PW, that kind of weather reminds me about going through Officer Training School in San Antonio back in '62 at this time of year. Because it was so cold in the morning and so hot later in the day they we fall us out in the morning in cotton short sleave uniforms with trenchcoats (very heavy wool overcoats). The uniforms had shoulder boards on them held on with metal pips. The trenchcoats would drive the pips onto our shoulders as we doubletimed into formation. As we stood at attention we could feel the blood running down into our armpits!

We are experiencing up and down weather in the Finger Lakes. Yesterday, rainy, damp and cold--for a third day. Today, sunny and warm--in the 60s.

We didn't get the "noreaster" that hit New England, but I am expecting one of those any day.

As for metereology: best non-profession I ever heard of. You can guess, be completely wrong, and still get paid to guess again.

I went from sunny, 90% humidity and 90+ degree weather to what KC saw and now it is finally a nice day today. Back in Beantown for a few days. KC I'll try to come in this week if I can get out of a few tasks. It's been a while.
