These types of threads have no place on this board. Please keep the discussions to wines, not each others flaws or personalities. Thanks.

I WAS talking about wines, how people percieve wines and whether the general public wanted or would buy authentic wines as opposed to "winemaker / focus group" wines. The fact that I was talking to someone who did not want to have a conversation was just collateral damage. I would at least like my last post re "the Dirt Road" restored to this section and then we can continue THAT discussion...

Sorry if I stepped on toes. The thread just seemed to being going downhill and new people to the board might be scared away. Putting up with the usuals is scary enough!

Guess next time I'll use negative psychology, and suggest you not behave yourselves.

Censorship is not done lightly on this board. I have maybe censored three messages in as many years -- don't like that arena. Flame wars just don't have a place here. Rants are welcomed, just nort when they get personal.

It not not acceptable to call WW a stupid, !@#$%^&* foil bag wine swiller. It is acceptable to call him most anything else.

I'm officially calling off any future plans to rebut anyone on this site. Fact is - and I apologise if this comes off as smug and self-satisfied - but life for me, at this point, is just going too well to sustain any sort of umbrage for the time it would take to haul somebody across the carpet. My girlfriend, who was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident last August, is recovering at an amazing rate and is now up and starting the process of relearning walking in a LiteGait parachute-sling/treadmill device at the U. of WA Med Center and may actually get her legs back. This, after her surgeon gave her a 1 in 1000 chance of ever recovering function below the site of her injury at T4-5. This makes me feel like dancing, except that I am an awful dancer, so I think I'll stick to wine and baseball. Add to that that my first novel may very well sell this week, the Mariners are in first place, AND we're experienceing fluke sunshine here in the PACNW, I'm really thinking I might even kiss Foodie if I met him in the flesh.

Well, he's coming out that way by train sometime soon; and you may get the chance.

Your girlfriend's recovery sounds miraculous, and can understand why you are filled with joy.

Sounds like good news--good luck. But please, no kisses.

And for that book--try to get paid by the word...
