On Saturday I actually found myself with an entirely unscheduled day! So my sweetie and I took off for Lancaster county. Sometimes I just need to go to a place with space between the buildings! It's our favorite get-away place. In two hours we can be in beautiful rural setting, appreciating the hard-working Amish who keep their farms looking like picture postcards! We don't do much of the tourist stuff any more. I just love to drive around and look at the scenery and the livestock. A really cathartic experience for me. I highly recommend it for stress reduction!

Georgie, you know you've arrived when all you can hear is the sound of cattle munching grass. Beautiful.

In Lancaster County, and didn't visit the Nissley Vineyard? Beautiful surroundings, and a lovely tasting room.

Really! I've never heard of that one. Can't imagine I've missed it with all the trips we've made there over the years! We've done the Mt. Hope Winery many times. I'll have to check Nissley out. Thanks for the tip!
