School was closed last Friday because of snow and here we are again in the middle of a blizzard. We never have early dismissals and we have to send the kids out in this mess. It is plenty scary to put them on those big yellow buses in this type of weather. No school tomorrow, more than likely. Say a little prayer for all of us, please. I feel a glass of Port coming on tonight for sure!

Georgie, I hear this mess is going to be backed up by two more storms heading this way, and then a drop in temperature.

I've always said, March, not April, is the cruelest month--and it seems the longest too, and it hasn't even begun!

Should I mention our 73 degrees and severely clear skies? Nope, probably shouldn't.

Sympathies, folks. I was once caught out on the road in a big snowstorm in Germany, and it wasn't any fun at all.

Georgie I'm with you!

I understand snow in November, January and February - but by this time - I'm over it! We only got an inch last night (thankfully)but the cold weather is back.

I was hoping we would head into spring a little early. No such luck!

Well, school was closed again today so I stopped by the library. You know we've had enough when even the teachers would rather be at school!

You poor thing! I have a brother that lives in the Hudson Valley in NY and he's over it too!

We had a beautiful 60* day here in Chicago today, but unfortunately it's not going to last. It's supposed to be below freezing again by Friday.

Bummer. I was hoping Puxatawny Phil was wrong!

and it's snowing like a blizzard here. I just looked at the computer weather report and told the kids that we are supposed to get 2-4 today. A big chorus of groans and moans ensued. Now you KNOW we've had enough when even the kids don't want it!

While driving home today heard on the radio that Portland, ME now has had 100 inches of rain this year for the fourth time in the last hundred years. Let's hear it for global warming.

P.S. Florida was wonderful, even with a little rain.
