Okay, go ahead and get your laughs in now, but this wine is pretty tasty, and dirt cheap.

No, it isn't Lynch Bages, but for a big crowd of folks and tight finances, this wine is very drinkable.

Cost? $20 for a three-liter box -- five bucks a bottle. Wine? Bota Box Cabernet Sauvignon by Delicato.

I found a Delicato Syrah pleasant when I bought one at the grocery store--not really typical of Syrah as a variety but quite drinkable. Does the Cabernet Sauvignon have some of the flavor/aroma profile you look for in Cabernet?

You know that Delicato Syrah is actually a Gold medal winner. They are famous for it. More towards the generic red spectrum, but certainly good enough for those 50-80 person parties, where a wide range of wine experience exists.
