We tried two bottles sent to us by the winery - one a Viognier and the other a Syrah. I don't know if these bottles may have suffered some from their journey from WA to us, or they may have been off bottles, but neither seemed very varietally true. The Viognier had a mere hint of floral nose, but the taste was really strange. If we didn't know what the bottle said, we'd have guessed demi-sec Vouvray. The Syrah didn't have any of the spiciness we'd expected, and if tasted blind would have been guessed to be a Merlot. Most strange.

CCK, You said previously you were now working for them. Can you shed any light on this?

Something to add about the Viognier, definitely got the sweet Vouvray taste upfront, but the after taste was very sour.

Yeah, I forgot that, and actually I got more of a bitter aftertaste, rather than sour.
