I have been trying to figure out some details on the Pradikat system. I understand that its based on the sugar content of the grape. Now for the confusion...

Take for instance Urziger Wurzgarten, In a single vintage there can be spatlese, auslese, and other classifications from this site. Are there several sub-sites within the Wurzgarten site? Do they seperate grapes out based on surgar? Are certain parts of the wurzgarten site spatlese grapes, auslese grapes, etc? How do they do dat ting dat they do?

The Wine Board has a host called www.wines.com. On the front page are a whole host of other options besides the Wine Board. One of these is Wine Lover's Reference. This explains all the terms you are confused about.

Incidently, ever since my server put up a new home page with so many bells and whistles that it took a half hour to load, I changed my homepage to www.wines. com. Even with the "java loading", it still loads much faster.

Thanks Bucko. So that means they pick grapes from the same site at different times, and try to get some fuzzy rasins too.

Somebody quietly take the high acid wine away from IK. Its starting to have adverse affects on him. The men with the long sleeved white jacket will be there shortly. Tongue
