With Mother away, found meself having a light supper of cervelat and "spring mix" on a nice hunk of French Peasant Bread picked up from a local baker at our farmer's market. Was on the way to the cellar to pick out a Morgon or something when I remembered there was a bottle of riesling in the fridge. Had recently read that sausage went well with high octane off dry riesling, so we gave it a shot.

The Greenwood Ridge, Mendocino Ridge, White Riesling '99, hit the spot. Very, very enjoyable. The versatility of riesling never ceases to amaze me. As they say, "When in doubt................."

IK, don't tell ww. Now that he has come to his senses regarding overblown reds, he might start sinking money into sw and cause a rise in prices...

Greenwood Ridge usually does a good job with their wines. I have tried several over the years.
