Some Suggestions

I am looking for a bottle of champagne, or sparkling if you must, to celebrate when I get my new job. I am lookin for something in the 20-40 dollar range. I don't want the Pol Roger NV Brut. I have already had it, its fabulous, but I want to take the opportunity to try something else. On wine.com, I found a couple in my range that look exceptionally interesting:

1993 Charles Ellner Champagne Brut Seduction
$33, 70% chard, %30% pinot noir

Michel Turgy Champagne Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru
100% chard at $35.

Both were reduced about 13 bucks. My guess to help business along. Has anyone had any experiance with these...will I like them as much as I liked the Pol Roger? What other suggestions do you have, keeping in mind I will probably have to have it shipped to the backwoods of Idaho?

Not familiar with either, but that means little. Didn't you get Roberto's "Wine Expo Spring 2001 News?" It is full of great inexpensive Champagne.

I have interviews with Mt Hood and with Columbia Dist. They are the two biggest in the area. I fly into Portland in May for the interviews. I'll probably check out a few of the local wine ships with my sis. See who's selling good vino at a good price and who prices on a "speculator" formula.

I did get the Wine Expo flier, but I don't order from them and most of his selection probably isn't readily available in other places. So any other suggestions would be appreciated.
