2001 Tinto Cosecha, Bodegas Virgen Del Aguila, Val De Paniza, Carinena ($7.99 Blue Hill Wine Store). Hella'va long name for an eight buck wine, but a very nice one. Alcohol level, 13%. Blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Garnacha. Gives you ripe blackberries, and a hint of bananas on the nose and upfront. Nicely complex fruit, and spice with slight oak and tannin across the middle, and a very pleasant finish. Did get a mouthful of sediment for not being careful.

Matched it with grilled skirt steak Teriaki, boiled red potatoes, and salad. Great meal on a very hot night.
