Have been holding this one bottle back for no real reason. Hattie and I are staying there for a night when we go out there. I wanted her to taste one of thier wines before we got there.

Great fruit on the nose. Mostly dark fruit but still a noticable amount of red fruits. The palate is where this wine gets you. The same fruit notes are there, but in the background, in a great way, the earthiness comes out. This creates a beautiful balance between fruit and earth that can only be achieved in this area. This palate, if I were to taste blind, might lead me to think I was tasting a cab from Mt. Veeder or somewhere close to there. Great wine. Hope we'll be able to taste some of thier library stuff........

I think it was the Hendry Block 7 Pinot Noir I was tempted to try at Dean and Deluca's in Charlotte but went with a Dutton-Goldfield instead. I would like to try Hendry wines sometime.
