I've never done of these before and am fairly new to wine, so feel free to critique.

My understanding is that this line is sort of a low end for Lohr, but I have to say, it was delicious and was probably the first wine where I really managed to differentiate between any of the complexities.

A very dark ruby/burgundy/purple colour (admittedly in a dark restaurant). On the nose, there were noticeable smokey red cherries and a deep, rich, chocolatey, jammy fruit. That might not be very specific, but I was surprised to be able to distinguish the flavours.

The mouthfeel was soft, but not light or thin, and the flavours were similar to the nose with well-balanced acids. The finish wasn't extremely long, but definitely pleasant.

Went very nicely with a sirloin. I give a solid 90 (not that I know anything, but it was good by me). $8.99/glass or about $13.99/bottle at the liquor store.
