If you love Zinfandels, I am willing to bet you are going to really enjoy the 1998 Cline Syrah Los Carneros. Give it an hour or so to open up and...WoW! Great balance of fruit and spice to go with a medium/long finish. Found it for $12.00...
FWIW - WS gave it a 91/spectator selection

I agree. Really enjoyed this wine, unfortunatley, I only bought two bottles. I got it for $7.99, but I think it was mismarked, not relaizing the difference between the Los Carneros and the regular California Syrah (which is also quite good).

Wow! $7.99? Go back and clear off the shelf at that price. With a retail tag of $20, that must be a mis-mark. I haven't tried the regular bottling, but everyone seems to like it so I should be buying a bottle soon. Thanks for the tip...
