Does anyone know if this 1994 Zinfandel is still drinking well?

Welcome. Your bottle is pretty much over the hill. Pop it at try, but don't get your hopes up. It's probably history.

You're probably right, G_a_D. I saw the bottle in a wine shop, and it looked to be in ideal condition. But, most likely, the fruit is gone by now. The Grand Mere is one of my favorite Zinfandels, but I can't recall tasting one more than five-years old. Thanks for your reply!

I had a bottle of the '96 about a month ago and it was circling the bowl. Drink up and hope...

I like the Grandmere and have drunk more than my share. I believe the 94 is better than the 96, and was drinking nicely about three years ago when I last had it, but it was an inch from death. Mine were impeccably stored from release. So, that's my story and I'm sticking with it. Give it a try but have another wine ready to open if it's dead.
