I was in my favorite wine store the other day buying "daily drinkers" and found these. The distributor closed them out and the store was offering them at $5.99 a bottle.

1994 Philip Staley Zin "Somers Vinyard" 13.7% Alc/vol.

1995 Philip Staley Zin "Somers Vinyard" 14.2% Alc/vol.

Both wines are similar, Lots of fruit with just a touch of oak. Med. body, black ruby/garnet color (the 95' was a bit darker), lots of briary and typical Zin fruit with good mid palate and medium length finish. The 95', I thought, was a little tastier(probably due to the alcohol). A great BBQ wine....I'll return for a case at that price. Anyone else have any experience with this wine?

Me neither Bucko, I did a side by side tasting and the 95'is much better than the 94'which is rather lean and dull.
