9/18. See`uns as how I be reviewin` 92 cabs drunken in the stress of Vail, I opened this monster tonite. WOW! If you can concentrate Merlot fruit into a dehadrated OJ version, this be IT! Viscious, almost hedonistic, this wine defies even my memorioes of Merlot tasting experiences. Smooth, Silky, Fruitball mouthfeel, this babe makes you wonder if (MAYBE) them dudes ar WITHSTAND(hehe) mite have at least a toehold. The Nose, Entry, and Finish have the derndest complexity of Cherries, spice, and a wonderful chocolate-malted thing-a-bob that makes you wonder if Jason mite have screwed around wif` the barrels.(Kiddin`) Any-whomsoever, this is a super Merlot. As good as his cabs, meritages or others are, this is one happenin` baby-doll.Crapsie-Dapsie, I`m down to 2 btles.WW

WW you didn't mention anything about fires during your Vail trip. Did you drive or fly? Wasn't there smoke all over? That's the impression we get on East Coast TV.

What did the Pahlmeyer set your back (cost)?

IK, Don`t understand how the blazes these inaccuracies get started, but the closest fire I know of to Vail was in Boulder (100 or so Miles away). There was an arson fire started 4 or 5 months ago by some crazies from WITHSTAND(hehehe), Not but that was way on top of the mounting. No smoke, no fires, lots of crisp, cool, healty air-balls.We love it there this time of year as almost all the touristas have departed, the restaurants are focused, and you can jog around Betty Ford Gardens and not bump into ennythin larger than a mtn squirrel.Looked up the Pahlmeyer, it was 50 bucks in April, 98. I thought I had some......... When I double checked it turns out to be the 1996 Pahlmeyer Merlot. My sorry collection only includes two bottles.

Winoweenie, do you have any notes on the 96?

Thanks..........
