($50). My first time trying a Pride Merlot and fell for it hard. This absolutely blew away the two high-end Cali cabs it was paired with (Silver Oak and Caymus). The Pride was huge, delivering massive aromas and tastes of dark fruits, chocolate and spice. Its finish is super long, and it has the structure to age a bit. But when a wine tastes this good in its youth, no way I'd wait for this to fully mature. I'd give it a year or two, then drink up.

Has been a staple in my cellar since Bob took over as winemaker. He makes a killer Cab also. WW
