2001 Banrock Station Shiraz Cabernet

This was my only bottle of red wine in the house last night, so I had it with some Italian food. I thought this tasted very good; not heavy and therefore easy for me to drink. I think I'd have liked it better with a steak. Can't beat the price, $12.99 for 1.5 liter bottle.

my wife and i bought a 1.5L bottle of this as well as the '02 yellowtail cab-shiraz (both aat $9.99 per). i had heard good things about banrock, but didn't get to try it. my wife did, and said she didn't like it and said she wouldn't buy it again. however, we both really liked the yellowtail, and i also was very impressed by the '02 yellowtail cab. i can't imagine there's a tastier $6 bottle of cab on the market.
