What goes with dark chocolate fondue?

I am going to a friends and we are making a dark chocolate fondue with fruits and sponge cake and was wondering what type of wine would go. White, red? Nothing over $10.00

Hi Joseanna, and welcome to the Wine Board. Dessert wines are not inexpensive. You might find a halfway decent bottle of Port of $12 or $14. You might also find a half bottle (375 ml) of late harvest zinfandel in the $10 range.
