I have been put in charge of my office holiday party with a bunch of picky wine drinkers - the biggest topic of converation after the party every year is how awful the wine is! I would like to avoid this and need to pick one red and one white and need ehlp making the right choice from the following list:
Merlot:Columbia Crest, Walnut Crest,Forrest Glen,Caliterra, Lendeman Bin 40
Chardonney:Glen Ellen,Columbia Crest,Benzinger, Caliterra,Lindemann Bin 65, Meridian
Thanks

By far, my two choices for red would be Columbia Crest and Forrest Glen, and my two choices for white would be Columbia Crest and Meridian.

Hi There Hi-Jumpin`-Rose and welcome to the board. My red of the cherces you`ve posted is the Columbia Crest and my Child-Bride SW drinker says she prefers the Meridian from the list given. Don`t think you`ll cut down on the bitches with this group tho. winoweenie

My choice for the white would be the Benzinger, which came in first in our wine group's tasting a while back. But if last year's wines came off this list, I'd just be sure to pick something different...

The Columbia Crest "Estate Series" is very good, for the red and I too like the Meridian Chard.
