2001 Guado Al Tasso from Antinori

Decanted this afternoon for pairing with NY strips tomorrow. 60% CS, 30% Merlot, 10% Syrah. It's sitting in the middle of the dinner table so its nose is already present. Magnifico!

Returned to the bottle and re-corked early this morning, popped again tonight with oak-grilled 2" thick NY strips and roasted farmer's veggies (tomatoes, pearl onions, bell peppers, yellow squash) and russet spuds. A bit too long in the decanter but still very nice. Syrah seemed dominant. 14% alc/vol and about $70 at Costco. Expensive for Father's Day but very nice. Will let the next one sleep for a few years.
