Which is the better vintage for Di Majo Norante Aglianico del Molise, 2000 or 2001? This is a new grape for me.

I'd go with the 2000 now and the 2001 later, but each can hold up a little longer.

Aglianico, when done well, is lush, tannic and certainly un-Toscano/Piemonte. It gives Cabernet Sauvignon a run for the money.
