Nifty wine, close-out at $17.99.
Amazing at that price, but I'm not sure that the prices for recent vintages reaching upwards of $70 could be justified.
The notes:
Pale gold.
Wonderful nose of vanilla, pear, lychee, cinnamon and white cake?
On the palate this wine is silky and very rich yet quite dry, with lots of the vanilla and lychee with plenty of secondary
notes of flowers and again that cake-like thing and a long finish. Gorgeous wine, but $70 seems awfully steep.
I'll buy as much as I can tomorrow for the $17.99, though.
