This is especially for Dananne and Wonders. If you don't know, Pali is a fairly new winery that uses purchased fruit, and has Brian Loring as the winemaker. Anyway, when I was at Brian's place earlier this year we tasted the Pali wines from barrel (as well as his own). Two of the wines were from Oregon fruit - Shea and Momtazi. I've had plenty of Shea from a number of wineries, but never Momtazi. It was awesome!! Brian thinks this may be the first 100 point Oregon PN. I just got their mailer with these wines on it. So, if you're at all interested, go to www.paliwineco.com and see if you can still get on the mailing list. The order deadline is 14 October, so I think there's still timwe to get on.

Maybe next year. I'm overextending on buying wines right now and still have Edmunds St. John mailer coming this fall.

I was leafing through the new WS at the shop last night, particularly the article on CA Pinots. James Laube named Pali as one of the hot new dozen PN wineries. Wonder how many folks hit the web site to get on the mailing list after that article.

Enjoy - after an appropriate lay down period, of course.
