bottles. At lunch with CB yesterday the MIC of my local shop put a glass in front of me and said "Try this, and give me a price." Took a sip, loved the pure Pinot flavors with just the rite amount of funkiness and said 35-40 bucks. Did guess the origin as the Central Coast so he brought out the bottle so here's the skinny, 2002 Hunterdon Pinot Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands AND even here the price was 13.98 by the box. 13.5% alc. Ordered 3 on the spot. Not quite as complex as the Migration but at 1/2 the number one absotive-i-ly killer bargain. WW

Nice! I am going shopping tomorrow. I hope the local dealer has this in stock. Few things make me happier than a solid pinot for under $15.

On the Migration note, I found the '03 model sitting on the shelf of the new neighborhood Kroger supermarket for $27. Will kick the tires this weekend and post accordingly.

Some wines just don't have wide distribution and this may be one of them. You might be able to order from the winery but would then have shipping charges.

Tina, is NJ one of the 10 US markets you've released this wine into? So far, WW has led me into wines I've liked, and I am anxious to give this one a try.

Unfortunately, no. NJ was a priority for me, as Hunterdon was named after where my husband Mike's family settled in the US. But, our agent hasn't assigned a distributor in NJ yet, so we'll likely have to wait until August when the next release of Hunterdon comes out. Sorry for the delay in responding. Just getting back from a week of traveling.

No distribution in Canada right now. I've heard that my US agent is looking into Canadian expansion, but I wouldn't expect it until late next year.

Santa Lucia Highlands. I was able to find a bottle of the '04 Hunterdon Pinot Noir and opened it the other day. Nice cherry flavors with earth and funk from the start but a little left over, sampled a couple of hours later from the bottle, it was really singing. The fruit exploded with dark, sweet cherry, underbrush and a touch of brett and mushroom. A very nice pinot for $12. I'm gonna purchase some more today. 13.5% Alc/vol.

Had a bottle of the 04 yesterday with some turkey/basil meatloaf and fresh asparagus and it did, as Drewski pointed out, "sang". Don't know what happened to the 03 but this new crop is a worthy successor to the 02. Ordered 2 boxes immediately. Life be GOOD! Ww
