Dark crimson with some transparency. Slightly acidic. I was trying to determine if it is worth purchasing more at this price. Pleasant dark cherry notes but I'm not convinced it is worth $50. It did hold up over three evenings and matched well with Black Forest ham and a potato casserole. Would definitely buy more at $35 but probably not at almost $50.
