1979 BV Reserve

Never had this wine before and what a delight! Still very dark garnet in colour with only the slightly of bricking. On opening, it had a very elegant nose, slight reserved, leather, but still fruit strength. On taste, it was a bit discombolulated, perhaps rather tart but that changed after about 1 hour in the bottle when it all came together and became a very balanced drink. Lovely persistent and long
