Had put a bit of sirloin from Wednesday night aside to share with daughter this weekend, and smoked/grilled babyback ribs today for her to take home tomorrow (along with burgers of our own BEEF). Broke out the Deerfield Ranch Zin, and my oh my, what a wonderful pairing. It doesn't get much better, and I couldn't stand it if it did. Had to burn the fire down for two hours prior to cooking to get a decent bed of coals, due to a heavy rains Thursday. That's OK, we're still grateful for every drop.
