2003 Stephen Vincent (CA)

Dark and opaque in the glass; nose of black currant and cedar; red and black fruit on the palate, currant dominating; lip-smacking finish. Menu same as last night: beef stew, tossed spinach salad, garlic bread, finished with dark chocolate square. 13.6% alc/vol. Can't find the receipt but place it in the $16-$20 range. A negociant-style blend of grapes from different growers, but nicely done.

We just loved the Pinot Noir, which we've raved about on here in the past. I may have also posted on a Rhone-style blend called Crimson that we tried. Good QPR stuff, I think. Will look for the Cab. Nice notes. Thanks!

Just found the receipt for this puppy and it showed only $10.99 per. Gotta buy more.
