Having a dinner party for 12 couples. Crab cakes and beef tenderloin are the featured entrees. Can anyone recommend a few great wines to go with dinner? Looking for bottles no more than $60.00 each.

Red Burgundy (made from pinot noir) from Burgundy (not California) would handle both of your entrees. Go to a good wine shop for detailed recommendations. Volnay is excellent in recently released vintages, but don't get locked in, if your dealer has a better recommendation go with it. You will need a case of whatever wine you get.
